The idea of social class has become very big now. I have faced it just from making the transition to another campus. Social class has taken over a lot of campuses. For example; should I join this group, who should I hang out with, and when do I do what? Students like me are facing this every day. Social class intersected with me because I felt I was staring over and I had to get involved and had to conform to the new ways of the campus.
Everyone is involved in something different and they are all trying to get you to join them. With the involvment fair, there were so many different "social classes" and the stress and energy in that room was overwhelming. Everyone came up to you and was in your face throwing out their opinions and beliefs of why you should join. The regionaly campus i attended had the same problems, only not as overwhelming. Campus social class can be hard on a student, they could get to the point where it is just too much for them and leave or they can find themselves conforming quite easily.
I feel like with this issue, i can look for primary sources of my own and see more into what social class is and i can create my opinion. There is social class everywhere and with a big campus like mine, I can find out a lot more.
