In a paper about an argument one way or another, I think a fun one for me to do would be something about politics or sports. Both of those are topics that I am somewhat knowledgeable about and am passionate about, and when you know something well and are passionate, that is when you will be able to make the best argument for it. One argument that would be fun would be to argue who is better out of Ohio State and Michigan. Even though Michigan owns the overall record, they won so many games before football was well established, and since the Gold Pants tradition was installed at Ohio State in 1934, Ohio State owns the series. Plus, over the past 10 years, Ohio State has only lost to Michigan one time. There have been stretches like this in the past for both teams, but this is one of the most dominant to date, if not the most dominant. This would be a fun argument to develop a paper about because it is one of the things I am most passionate about. Plus, I mean, come on, we’re at Ohio State, that’s always fun to try to one up Michigan. The tough part I would have would be to relate the argument to the class somehow. I could make an argument over the classes at each university, or the argument about the classes being the SAME at each university, such as if you consider college student a class. This could make for an interesting paper.
